TE Connectivity (TE) to Showcase Innovative Medical Solutions at MD&M West 2018

February 05, 2018

TE will highlight its recently expanded portfolio for minimally invasive, surgical, imaging and sensing solutions.

BERWYN, Pa., Feb. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- TE Connectivity (NYSE: TEL), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, today announced that it will display its portfolio of innovative, efficient and high-performing connectivity and sensor solutions at MD&M West 2018, Booth #3149, Hall D, in Anaheim, California February 6-8, 2018.

TE will showcase its latest medical technology offerings including patient monitoring temperature sensors, photo optic sensors, AD-101 ultrasonic sensors and board level pressure sensors, among minimally invasive, surgical, imaging and other sensor solutions. TE's booth will feature a cath lab simulation experience, allowing visitors to perform a simulated, life-changing clinical procedure.

TE Connectivity designs and manufactures sensors to specifications needed for the rigors of medical applications, with ISO 13485 certification and FDA registration for various products. Product highlights of the MD&M West 2018 TE display:

  • AD-101 ultrasonic sensors - developed for non-invasive continuous monitoring of fluid for air bubble detection. Using ultrasonic technology, this sensor is capable of positively identifying the presence of a break in flow of any type of liquid.
  • Photo Optic sensors - a key component for non-invasively measuring blood and oxygenation (SpO2) level and suitable for a variety of applications from patient monitoring, to wearables and home healthcare applications.
  • Patient Monitoring 400 series - provide ±0.1°C accuracy per EN-12470 requirements and are compatible NTC patient temperature monitoring sensors.
  • Board level 1620 series - disposable medical pressure sensor measures pressure from -50 to 300mmHG for applications requiring AAMI compliance.

"MD&M West provides us the opportunity to meet with engineers to discuss how TE's extensive sensor and connectivity portfolio can help them optimize the next generation of medical devices," said Mr. Sean Gough, sr. director of sensor product management, TE Connectivity. "TE is proud to be part of the medical device revolution by helping to advance applications ranging from home healthcare to wearable health and mobile medical devices."

TE Connectivity's thousands of engineers provide support of application-specific, standard and custom requirements, from product concept through manufacturing. TE subject matter experts will be on site at MD&M West 2018 to share their insights and discuss engineers' design and manufacturing needs.
